Frontline Environmental screens oil and gas operational sites to determine their proximity to protected areas, sites for biodiversity, and for the presence of threatened plants and animals. Based on the screening results, biodiversity and ecological studies/assessments are completed as follows:
- Existing sites: impacts potentially associated with operational activities are assessed in a defined area.
- New sites: assessments are performed as part of environmental, social and health impact assessments
